So, you've discovered job opportunities at The Stow Company and are ready to advance your career. You've submitted an application and have been invited to an on-campus conversation. How do you prepare for an interview with the Stow Company?
Today we'll explore helpful guidelines to ensure you ace your interview with Stow. Let's get started!
Where should I park for my interview?
Our manufacturing facility is located at 3311 Windquest Drive, Holland, MI 49423 (get directions). Once onsite, you may park in the marked Employee Parking Lot.
Where do I enter the building?
Look for the white sign that says "Atrium" and enter there. If you are arriving for an open interview session, you can expect to see large banners pointing you in the right direction.
What attire is appropriate?
We say come dressed appropriately, but come in what you're comfortable in. We understand that you may be attending your interview between other responsibilities, so there's no need to dress formally.
What traits are you looking for in employees?
We ascribe to several core values at Stow, and we're actively seeking new team members who agree wholeheartedly with these tenets of candor, accountability, rigor, decisiveness, and drive.
What do I need to have to be a good employee?
One key aspect of employment at The Stow Company is having reliable transportation. We also want to see that you have a fairly consistent work history and that you're truly interested in working in manufacturing.
What if I don't know what position is the best fit for me?
Don't worry if you need some help identifying the appropriate position. During your interview, we'll look at your job experience and compare it to our needs. We just ask that you are prepared to speak about your previous work history so that we can find you the best fit. Consider your last 3 places of employment. We may ask questions like,What did you do there? What were your job responsibilities? Why did you leave?
What tests may I need to pass?
Potential hires may be asked to pass a drug test and background check.
What kind of questions should I be ready to answer?
During your interview, be prepared to talk with us about your work history and personal characteristics that make you a good fit for Stow. We'll ask questions about your ethics, skills, problem solving ability, work/life balance, and more.
What do I need to bring?
Since you've already submitted your application, there are no additional materials you need to bring to your interview unless otherwise requested. Just be ready to enjoy the experience, take the time you need (don't rush!), and prepare any questions you would like to ask our team.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Stow Company for your upcoming interview! If you still have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our team at careers@thestowcompany.com.
